Dear David
I hope you are well I have been reading The Guardian today, and can't help but notice a couple of familiar names in one
or two of the articles I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that when all this has died down - and when you
have more time, of course - it would be good to meet up and talk again about book projects In light of recent events, I
think the time is ripe now more than ever for a title which addresses the relationship between government, policy and war -
I'm sure you would agree. I'd be delighted to talk over any projects you may be thinking of developing at any point -just let
me know
To update you, by the way, further to the contact information you gave me, Malcolm Dando has agreed to write for us on
Biological and Chemical Weapons, and Charles Ferguson, a senior scientist at the Monterey Institute, will do a title on
Nuclear Arms - many thanks for your help in this respect

Dear David
I do hope you are well and coping with the many demands that are no doubt being made of you at present
I was just wondering if you could help me out briefly - further to our meeting on 4 April, I have been trying to make
contact with some of the individuals and institutions you recommended I have successfully spoken to Malcolm
Dando, and things look promising there However, I have had no luck tracing an emall or contact address for
; Jonathan Walker at the Foreign Office -would you have such a thing? Also, if you could supply contact details for
" any of your colleagues or acquaintances at the Monterey Institute, this would also be much appreciated

Dear David
lust a quick note to say how much Novin and myself enjoyed meeting you last Friday - I hope things are
going well, particularly in light of the recent developments .
As I said last week, if at any point you can think of any other individuals who it might be useful for us to
contact regarding the projects we talked-about, and the ideas we discussed, I would be very grateful -
particularly those who might specialise in the areas where policy and ethics collide. Also, if you could suggest
anyone who might be interested in authoring or recommending an author for a book on the arms trade, this
would be most useful .
Finally, should you find yourself in a position to undertake a writing commitment at any point, we would be
" more than happy to review any material or discuss things further .
I hope we may keep in touch, and wish you all the best for the next few - no doubt busy - weeks .
Best wishes,
Victoria
