HAYAAN MO SILA

"Hayaan mo sila" is a song written and sang by the Ex Batallion. This song was
officially aired last November 2017. This song captured everyone especially in the
jeepneys and markets all around the Philippines.

I believe that this song belongs to the literary Historical criticism. It's because we
should investigate the origin of the text in order for us to undertand "the world behind
the text". We should examine the text's historical origin, such as the time, the place in
which the text was reason, it's sources and the events, persons and customs that are
mentioned in the literary piece "Hayaan Mo Sila".

Digging deeper on the text itself, we could see the usage of arts on every line. This
song was written for this new generation. The whole point of the song tackled about
boys that are being left behind by the girls. This is the reality we should face right
now.

The song implies "we should not mind them". That the boys right now should
entertain themselves to forget the pain of being left. That boys should let the girls
chase after them because girls are cheaters. That there are still many girls out there
that boys can have anytime. And that in this generation there's no serious girl out
there.

Eventhough at some point I don't agree with the fact that there are no serious girls.
This song cover the wide range of the reality and we could relate the song to this
generation so much.
