Warmer
Aims: to warm students; to check Ss homework, to greet them,to
create an appropriate atmosphere for the lesson
Timing: 4’
Class management: Individual work

Procedure: T greets ss and asks „Who’s missing today?”; T checks
homework; T asks Ss to group themselves and find a name for their
team.
Activity 2
Movie Segment
Aims: to increase Ss’ motivation to engage in communicative situations
to encourage Ss to use present continuous for actions happening
at the moment of speaking
Timing: 14’
Interaction: T-S, S-T, S-S
Procedure: Ss watch the movie segment “The Secret Life of Pets”.
They have to write down as many sentences as they can, saying what
the pets are doing. Ss read all their sentences to the class.
Activity 4
Guided Practice
Aims: to remind pupils the Simple Present structure and its use;
to present, practice and produce examples of daily activities;
to give Ss the opportunity to reinforce and practise the Present
Simple and Continuous structure and their writing skills
Timing: 11’
Interaction: T-S, S-T, S-S
Procedure: T gives some examples; T asks pupils to give examples of
their own; pupils get into pairs; they copy the grid; they talk about their
daily activities; they ask and answer the questions
Ss solve individually some worksheets using the previously revised
structures
Activity 5
Conversation and Homework
Aims: to encourage Ss to use their previous knowledge
Timing: 2’
Interaction: T-S, S-T, S-S
Procedure: T congratulates Ss using encouraging words and sets
homework
