Verb Shaker

Place a bunch of verbs in the bottle. Student

shake the bottle. The first one which comes
out, students create a sentence with by using
a five-star sentence.

Sort Phonemic sounds:

Students use words and pictures to sort the

sounds. The focus of this week is to analyse
the first two sounds of each word. These
words will be from the phonemic awareness
list.

Phonemic Awareness

Students sound the word they land on. E.g. if

the student rolls a ‘5’, they must say a word
from row 5.
