Why is there a need for judicial review in Administrative Law?

There is need for judicial review because of any actions of public bodies in term of making their
decision is whether it is consistent with the administrative regulation in term of statute or the
Constitution. Hence, judicial review is needed to ensure public bodies has followed the law in
making the decision or not

Why is the doctrine of 'Ultra Vires' important in Administrative Law? *

Doctrine of 'Ultra Vires' important because of any administrative decision must act within the
powers given. The doctrine of 'Ultra Vires' also is the juristic basic of judicial review in administrative
law. Hence, if the administrative decision is considered as illegal and the public authority's decision
are invalid to be practised

Why is delegation of power allowed in public administration? *

Delegation of power is allowed since in public bodies gain power from delegation, and they don't
inherent, constitutionally mandated power to act. Delegation of power is the conferment of power
by one person on another to act for him. In public administration, the statute enabling to authorize a
minister to make regulations and he in turn authorize others to make others.However, the public
body may only exercise its power within the delegation of authority provided for them. Thus, they
are not subject to parliamentary control but to the judicial control.IL
