Life Science LS.8 The student will investigate and understand interactions among
populations in a biological community. Key concepts include: a) the relationships
among producers, consumers, and decomposers in food webs; b) the relationship
between predators and prey; c) competition and cooperation; d) symbiotic
relationships.
In small groups, students will work together to create a detailed food web by
creating one with the online tool. One group member will create a new document
and send the link to the other members. Each group will need to illustrate at least
three three-linked food chains, two four-linked food chains, one five-linked food
chain, and two symbiotic relationships using texts and pictures.
United States History to 1865 USI.1 The student will demonstrate skills for
historical and geographical analysis and responsible citizenship, including the

For a final project, the students will be divided into small groups to create a
timeline illustrating all the events covered in class. One student will create a new
document or use and edit the timeline available in the Education Templates and
share the link to the other students in the group. All students in the group will
work together to add as much details to each event as possible making certain that
dates and names are accurate.

The Challenges:
Chat discussions will not be saved once the chat is closed, but comments will
stay posted until resolved.
When a document or template is chosen/opened it is automatically saved to the
account, so if you are clicking to see the template as a document and choose not
to use it you will have to manually delete it from your account. This could be
annoying and time consuming if you want to view many, like I did for this
assignment.
There is limited amount of storage for a “free” user, but if you have an .edu
email, you get more storage, or you can choose to purchase a monthly plan.
Payment is required to access all features; however, I believe the payment option
would be more relevant towards businesses.
Note:
The teacher will create a login for the entire class to use.

conflict.
The students will be divided into groups and research why the civil war began.
Each group will work together to create a list of events leading to the civil war.
Fifth Grade Science 5.7 The student will investigate and understand how Earth’s
surface is constantly changing. Key concepts include a) identification of rock
types; b) the rock cycle and how transformations between rocks occur.
Students will work in groups, and each group will be assigned a certain type of
rock to identify. Each group will then work together to create a sequenced list
about how the rock cycle works making certain to highlight where their specific
rock fits into the cycle.
Third Grade Writing 3.10 The student will edit writing for correct grammar,
capitalization, punctuation, and spelling; and a) use complete sentences.
The entire class will work together to construct a story. Each student will add a
complete sentence to the list continuing the story from the last student’s
submission.

Key concepts include a) aquatic ecosystems; and b) terrestrial ecosystems.
Students will be divided into groups and will be assigned a particular ecosystem.
They will be expected to post about the qualities of their ecosystem.
Third Grade Math 3.1 The student will a) read and write six-digit numerals and
identify the place value and value of each digit.
Groups of students will be given different word problems, and they will have to
determine the place values of the numbers presented in the problem. They will
post their ideas and solutions to the word problems.
