BIOGRAPHY
Sean Collier is a senior Mathematics and
Music double major at Emory & Henry
College. Sean is an active collegiate and
regional musician, having been principal
oboe in the college symphonic band, a
founding member of the college
woodwind quartet, served as principal
oboe in the Stateline Wind Symphony,
as well as being the drum major for the
college marching band.
Sean has served in serval capacities as
an instructor of music for Patrick Henry
High School & Marion Senior High
School. Currently, he studies piano with
Dr. Lisa Withers and oboe with Dr. Adam
Smith.
EXPECTATIONS AND
GUIDELINES
As a student in this studio, know that I
will have expectations of you in terms of
practice, preparedness, and promptness.
PRACTICE TIME
It is ideal that the student practice at least
30 minutes to an hour per day.
*Please note: I reserve the right to end a
lesson if it is clear that a student has not
put in time outside of the lesson.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
As attendance is vital for progress, the
student is allotted 4 unexcused or
absences before removal from the studio.
In the case of cancellation:
- Cancellation 24 hours prior, at
minimum, to the lesson time will be
understood and no fee will be
charged.
- Cancellation after 24 hours prior
will not be forgiven and the full
lesson fee will be incurred, except
in the case of emergency.
In the case of tardiness or late arrival:
- If the student will miss more than
one third of their lesson time—10
minutes for 30-minute lesson; 20
minutes for 60-minute lesson—the
lesson is considered cancelled and
falls under the aforementioned
policy above.
In the case I must cancel your lesson:
- I will do my best to notify the
student at least 24 hours before.
MATERIALS
The student will be required to bring the
following materials to every lesson:
- Pencil
- Method Book and/or Music
- Reeds, Swabs, Water: as needed
- A Signed Practice Log
FEES AND RATES
For 30 Minute Lessons: $10
For 60 Minute Lessons: $20
The first lesson is free to you!
PAYMENT POLICY
Weekly payments will be made at the
beginning of the lesson; monthly
payments at the beginning of each
month. These will be in cash or by
check.
If the student (or parent) would prefer
to make monthly payments rather than
weekly, a discount of 12% will be
offered.
*Please note: I will not provide a
lesson until payment is received.
