I.OBJECTIVES July 25, 2016

 Define connotation.
 To develop skills in connotation word as a connection to the topic.
 Express deeper understanding through reflections.
 Perform learning activities as a connection to the topic.
II. SUBJECT MATTER

 Connotation
MATERIALS: manila paper, pentel pen
Reference: Expository Writing: Wholistic Writing in the Discipline, pp.77
III. PROCEDURE
A.KNOW

 Ask: What is Connotation?


 Discuss the meaning of connotation and it’s positive and negative.
 Group the students into five (5).
 As soon as the students are group accordingly, give them their task and allow
questions for clarifications.
B. PROCESS
Task- Connotation Chart
Divide the 24 adjectives into positive and negative connotation.

 Tell the class to work on their task for 10 minutes and each group is given 2
minutes to present their output to the class.
C. UNDERSTANDING

 Lead the students to reflect what is the difference between connotation and
denotation.
IV. PRODUCT/PERFORMANCE

 Let the students present their output by group.


V. ASSIGNMENT
