Overview

F65RAW Viewer is a dedicated application software for viewing and basic color grading
F65RAW files shot by CineAlta F65 digital motion picture cameras attached with an SR-R4
portable memory recorder. You can operate on F65RAW files transferred to your computer by
using an SRPC-5 or SR-PC4 Data Transfer Unit, or on F65RAW files on SRMemory cards
inserted into an SR-D1 SRMemory Drive Unit. You can carry out the following operations on
F65RAW files.
• Displaying information included metadata
• Viewing
• Basic color grading
• Trimming
In addition, you can export F65RAW files to DPX or Open EXR to facilitate file-based
post-production workflows.
This application supports the following format.

Installation

Mac

1) Double click the F65RAW_Viewer_1.10_setup.dmg.

Finder starts and the F65RAW Viewer.pkg appears.

2) Double click the F65RAW Viewer.pkg.

The installation screen appears.

3) Click the [Continue] button.

A read me screen appears.

4) Click the [Continue] button.

A license agreement screen appears.

5) Click the [Continue] button.
The following message appears.

6) Click the [Agree] button.

A screen appears. In this screen, select the installation destination.

7) Click the installation destination volume.

8) Click the [Continue] button.

The following screen appears.

9) Click the [Install] button.

An authentication screen appears.

10) Enter your name and password, and then click the [Install Software] button.
The following screen appears when the installation is complete.

11) Click the [Close] button to close the screen.

To uninstall the application

Move the application icon to the Trash. The default application installation folder is
/Applications/F65RAW Viewer.

Windows

1) Double click the F65RAW_Viewer_1.10_setup.exe.

The setup wizard appears.

2) Click the [Next] button in the setup wizard.

A license agreement screen appears.

3) Click the [Agree] button, and then click the [Next] button.
The following screen appears.

4) Change the settings as required, and then click the [Next] button.

To change the installation destination

Click the [Change...] button to open a dialog. Select the folder in the dialog.

The following screen appears.

5) If you want to create a F65RAW Viewer shortcut on the desktop, tick the [Create
a desktop shortcut] check box. Click the [Next] button.

 The following screen appears when the installation is complete.

6) Click the [Finish] button to close the dialog.

Note: If installation fails and the "This software can only run on windows7(64-bit) operating
system; the currently running operating system is not windows7 (64-bit) system." dialog
appears, follow the procedure below.
1. Right click on the setup file, then select the [Properties] item.
2. Select the [Compatibility] tab.
3. Press the [Change settings for all users] button.
4. Disable the [Run this program in compatibility mode for:] check box.

To uninstall the application

Open the Programs and Features control panel, then select and uninstall [F65RAW Viewer]
from the list of installed programs.

Launching and Exiting Application

Launching the application

Mac
Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock. Click the F65RAW Viewer icon. The application starts,
and the operating windows appear.

Windows
Select the [Start] Menu > [All Programs] > [Sony F65RAW Viewer]. Click the [F65RAW
Viewer].

Note: It is not possible to launch more than one instance of this application at one time.

The application creates a folder structure “Sony/F65RAW Viewer” in the Documents folder for
storing setup information. You should also delete this folder after uninstalling the application.
When you launch the F65RAW Viewer, the following folders and files are automatically created.

Exiting the application

Mac
Select [Quit F65RAW Viewer] from the [F65RAW Viewer] menu.

Windows
Select [Exit] from the [File] menu.

Note: If you exit the application while an export task is running, the following confirmation
dialog appears. If you click the [Yes] button, the running task will be aborted and the
application exits. The aborted task will be in the queued state when you next launch the
application. By clicking the [Run] button in the Task Queue, you will be able to run the task
from the beginning.
