Table blah blah blah

The scores (Table 6.103) from each process per attribute were transmuted to
simpler scores for better comparison. Process with the best score in a certain attribute
is rated “1” while the process with the worst score is rated “0”. The process with
intermediate value is rated using linear interpolation. The same method of calculation
is done for the rest of the attributes.

Using Antonsson’s formula the scores were calculated and are tabulated in
Score column. These scores are called the base score values.

For the purpose of sensitivity analysis, base score values of the first two
attributes (total capital investment and cost of raw materials) will be varied from 10 to
100 whereas the rest remains the same. As an example, the score of Total Capital
Investment was changed from 100 to 10 while Price of Raw Materials from 60 to 10.
The weight of each attributes will be recalculated based on the changes on first two
attributes. The equation below shows how to calculate for the new weight per
attribute.

New

The new weights will now be applied to calculate the scores per attribute and
the resulting scores will be added to give the overall scores of the three processes.
Technological Institute of the Philippines

The total score will change as a result of these new weights. The resulting overall
scores of each process (P1, P2, and P3) are then compared to determine the best
process given a change in two of its attributes from least to the most important or vice
versa. Variations in the base scores are applied in two attributes at a time. The results
and the rest of the calculations are presented in Tables A.1 and Appendix H.

Overall values of P1, P2, and P3 are the sum products of column P1,
P2, and P, with their respective weights. The process which has the highest overall
value is the chosen process.
