For these five colleges, I have found major differences, such as in tuition, location distance,
admission requirements, spiritual life, and other categories. In admission requirements, I’m qualified
(as far as with GPA) for all but one of these colleges: the University of California Santa Barbara. The
closest and most accessible college for me is La Sierra, which is also the one with the most
graduate/undergraduate programs available. The college with the greatest spiritual life (with one faith
in the main focus) is GCU, which values the Christian lifestyle, practices, and theology in all of its
main teachings. The most expensive college out of these five, I believe, is Woodbury for its total tuition
cost (Without other costs added such as books and rent). The most affordable, however, is UCSB for its
in-state cost (if I calculated it correctly).
Although I still wish to attend La Sierra, this assignment did help me arrange my choices in an
orderly format, as well as helped to evaluate them while comparing them to each other. I am more
clearer with my future, although if things don’t work out with La Sierra, I do know that I have other
choices here as well. I see the benefits with choosing one of these schools, but I wish that some
information would’ve been made clearer about the requirements for each college’s programs from their
websites, as well as what’s immediately available to me once I graduate from high school. Overall, all
five of these schools have clear benefits, and even though I’ve already made up most of my mind about
where I want to go, I still can see for myself what else I could probably take up.
