Subject: Code of Ethics

A code of ethics is a document that outlines the missions and values of a business or
organization. The ethical principles are based on the organizations core values and the standards to
which the professional is held. In this memo I will briefly speak on several businesses and their code of
ethics those that I will speak on are Footlocker and Forever 21. Many companies have many different
ways they go about things such as their rules and other things they allow in the work place.

1. Footlocker Focus on uniform vs. Forever 21 Focus on uniform

- Footlocker is strong on uniform and looking like you are going to work in a business.
Also footlocker expresses their way of style in the shoes that the employers wear
because they are a shoe store so they express with their shoes. Opposed to forever 21
you may wear what you want to work and express your sense of style being that they
are a clothing store they want you to look good the way you feel about the clothing
industry.

2. Some things Forever 21 and Footlocker have in common

- Some things in common that forever 21 and footlocker have are they both have ethics,
they also both have responsibilities in the work place that they must obey no matter
what. They have teamwork and store policies within the employers and the customers.
They have discrimination codes that they follow and they also do what’s best to assist
the customers and make sure they have what they want.

3. The Code of ethics goes for employees, customers, and investors

- The code of ethics are not just for the employees they are also for everyone else
that is involved in the business. Most of it does apply to the employees but
everyone else must go by them as well.

4. Revised Ethical codes

- If I was asked to revise a company’s code of ethic I would change how they word
some of their codes also I would make it better for not only the customers but
the employees as well. I would also change the focus of the code of ethics and
break I down more for everyone.
