Hello, members of VT-A

Hello, everyone!
H
Wow, May 1st today! April brought a wonderful day with Ron Black during our CPR class. I made the mistake of saying the
word dummy and was corrected; they are called mannequins! (I guess I was the dummy in that case.) Ron kept us in
stitches the whole day which we greatly appreciated. Chris and I now feel that if an emergency occurs, we will be more
equipped with the knowledge we gained that day. Great job, Ron! Also, we thank Laurie for her behind the scenes
efforts. Nelson was also busy coordinating our Christmas party. It will be held on December 8th at the Howe Center
beginning at 5:30 P.M. Menus will be available at our next meeting allowing you to peruse the wonderful selections. We
are looking forward to the Yankee Swap and ask that if I have an eye on an item such as a cardinal blanket, it is hands-off!
(Especially you, Jerry!) 😊

Our first ride will be June 2nd at the Texas Falls. We will enjoy a barbeque hosted by the Clark family. I want to
close with a reminder that if you want to participate in the mileage contest, please email (cfish288@gmail.com)
a dated picture of your odometers soon as possible. Doug Martin, Nelson Gee have already sent in their
mileage.

We have yet to get ours out of the barn. Chris is wondering how the bike will act, being cooped up for so long.
The bike will most likely act like when the cows were let out of the barn for the first time after a long winter. It
will jump, kick, spin around and do all kinds of tricks just happy to be outside.

Don’t forget to run through your bike for a safe riding season. TCLOCK

Reminder to all members if you want to be included in the mileage award, please
send a picture of your mileage reading to Chris before you start riding.

It was decided to sponsor 1 boy and 1 girl to Kehoe Conservation Camp. $250.00
per student for 1 week. Carolle Fish is selecting the students.

New England Rally is July 26-28 in Southbury , CT. If you are making reservation
at the Wyndham, mention GWRRA. It would be great to see our chapter
represented at the rally.

A shout out to Ron Clark for getting sponsorships! Chris has forms if anyone is
interested in getting other sponsors.

The Chapter Christmas Party will be at the Franklin Center on December 8, 2018.
More information later.

May 20, 2018- Blessing of the bikes, 1 is in Rutland and 1 in Springfield, VT. See
Dale O Brien if you are interested in going to the one in Springfield, VT.

June 2, 2018 Chapter gathering will be at Texas Falls with a BBQ. If you are
planning on going to this please let Chris know at the next meeting. We need to
have a count so we know how many to plan for the BBQ.

There is a lot of training that is available through GWRRA. If anyone is

interested contact Doug Melanson.

The ride to Old Forge , NY will be June 15,16,&17. Contact the Old Forge Inn 1-
315-369-3313 to make a reservation .
