Solutions to the Voter Id Debate

Directions: Over the course of the past few days, we have examined how individuals in the
United States can become active members in government. One of the ways in which citizens of
the United States get involved in government is by exercising the right to vote. An individual
right to vote in elections has been limited throughout American history. Requiring identification
at the polls is a recent example of limiting an individual’s right to vote. Therefore, your task is to
construct a writing assignment that offers possible solutions to the Voter Id Debate. One of the
goals of this assignment is to convince an resistant audience to consider why your position and
solution to the Voter Id Debate is valid. Please follow the guidelines below and refer to the rubric
to see what you must include in your assignment.
