Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our next unit of study will be on the Mexican Revolution of 1910. As a
class, we will research the events that led up to the Mexican Revolution, the
prominent figures that played a role, and the consequences of it. Your child will
participate in group stations in order to view an array of videos that will build
their understanding about the Mexican Revolution, FlipGrids and Padlets to share
his/her ideas, and in the process develop their own opinions using evidence for
the varied texts in order to publish a writing piece.
At home your child can use the Google Flashcard option to create
vocabulary digital flash cards in order to review and reinforce important
vocabulary, dates and events. Your child can also create a Kahoot! game with
questions that highlight what they are learning the class. Lastly, they can start
creating a digital presentation about the things that they are learning about in
regards to the Mexican Revolution in order to share it with their classmates.
