Sales / Customer Service Cover Letter

Hiring Manager
Home Depot
1725 US Hwy 287
Mansfield, TX 76063

15th February 2018

To whom it may concern,

I am writing in response to the customer service and sales position posted on the Home Depot website, and would be
honored to put my skills and experience to use in such a position.

I attended Mansfield High School from 2012 to 2015, and later transferred to Frontier Career Tech Academy from
which I graduated in June of 2016. While attending Frontier, I took a variety of non-core specialty classes, including
Culinary I, Food Safety, Hospitality and Tourism, Forestry, Wildlife and Fishery Management, and Resource and
Energy Management. I am currently enrolled in Tarrant County College and will be finishing my Associates of
Science in Engineering in the fall of 2018 while being dually enrolled at UTA, from which I will complete my Bachelors
of Science in Engineering in the spring of 2020. I have worked a few jobs that have given me the experience
necessary for a customer service/sales position. At Urban Air Trampoline Park, I worked doubly as a court monitor
and party host. As court monitor, I ensured the safety of park visitors and enforced the rules of the park. Being a party
host required me to set up tables for my designated parties, welcome them to the park, ensure that each guest had a
signed waiver, host private dodgeball tournaments, and stay around to assist the party members. My other job at
Marketrics provided me with a wide area of responsibilities. Marketrics is a small marketing company that takes on a
number of projects. The particular project I assisted with was for a law firm in San Antonio that filed a class action
lawsuit against an agricultural company, which had caused many farmers across America to lose large amounts of
money. I was tasked with packing and folding boxes that contained a hat and information on the litigation, receiving
shipments of hats and boxes, loading a truck full of crates that were to be sent to the post office, and organizing the
warehouse. By the time all boxes were sent out, more than 200,000 farmers received them. Along with my work
experience, I have also accumulated numerous hours of volunteer work through my church. I have been to five
different locations, which include Springfield, Missouri; Houston, Texas; Kansas City, Missouri; Guatemala City,
Guatemala; and Harlingen, Texas. These all included kids’ ministry, serving with and for the communities, and
manual labor such as painting, installing hurricane hangers, installing insulation, cutting and installing panel wood,
digging trenches, removing carpet glue from floors, clearing rubble, and cutting firewood. I am also currently
responsible for playing drums with a contemporary worship band during both services on every second, third, and
fifth Sunday.

If you wish to contact me, please call (817) 111-1111 or email me at hiremeplease@gmail.com. I appreciate the time
it took for you to read this letter and your consideration in hiring me. Working at Home Depot has been a desire of
mine since childhood, so if my application is accepted, I can guarantee that I will try my hardest to maintain excellent
customer service and ensure that Home Depot receives the service that it deserves.

Sincerely,
Dustin Williams
