In 3900 series BTS, UEIU/UPEU are used to provide environmental alarm connections,
however, the total number of alarms of these 2 boards are only 16. If there are over 16 alarms to
be connected, we could use EMUA board which can provide 32 Environmental Alarms.

3. EMUA Board Configuration

In BSC data, EMUA is configured as DEMU board.
3.1 Slot Number:
If we connect RS485 to UPEU MON0, the EMUA should be configured in slot0.
If we connect RS485 to UPEU MON1, the EMUA should be configured in slot1.

3.2 Configure EMUA Board Attributes:

In LMT:
9 Board Parameter Configuration Enabled: yes
9 Special Alarm Switch Enabled: not chosen=enabled; chosen=disabled;
9 Common Alarm Switch Enabled: not chosen=enabled; chosen=disabled;
9 Special Alarm Switch Valid Level Configuration: should be “High Level” (not chosen)
9 Common Alarm Switch Valid Level Configuration: chosen= Low Level; not chosen=High
Level
MML Command: “MOD DEMUBP”.

3.3 Binding BTS alarm with BSC alarm:

Bind Alarm
SET ALMPORT: SITENAME="OSV2", CN=0, SRN=2, SN=0, PN=1, SW=OPEN, AID=65420,
PT=BOOL, AVOL=LOW;
SET ALMPORT: SITENAME="PRAB", CN=0, SRN=2, SN=0, PN=2, SW=OPEN, AID=65422,
PT=BOOL, AVOL=LOW;
SET ALMPORT: SITENAME="PRAB", CN=0, SRN=2, SN=0, PN=3, SW=OPEN, AID=65424,
PT=BOOL, AVOL=LOW;
SET ALMPORT: SITENAME="PRAB", CN=0, SRN=2, SN=0, PN=4, SW=OPEN, AID=65426,
PT=BOOL, AVOL=LOW;
SET ALMPORT: SITENAME="PRAB", CN=0, SRN=2, SN=0, PN=9, SW=OPEN, AID=65436,

BBU fail to communicate with EMUA board, check:

Power Input and DC Switch of EMUA;
The data configuration of slot number is consistent with Physical Connection of MON Port.

2. Alarm report are opposite with actual alarm status

For example, the door alarm report to BSC when the door is closed and vise versa.
Check: Alarm Switch Valid Level Configuration is consistent with actual voltage level.
