One thing that I realized was that no matter how difficult something is, the more you
practice it, the easier it becomes and the more you know it. While doing my presentation at the
Celebration of Writing, someone asked me how I memorized all of that information, and I said,
“You don’t have to memorize something if you know it.” And to really know something, you
have to practice it, and you have to want to practice it. Many people think that practice makes
perfect, but that is not true. In the words of Ms. Kathleen Campbell, “Practice makes
permanent.”
