    MIHAI EMINESCU - born Mihail Eminovici (15 January 1850 – 15 June 1889), was a Romantic poet, novelist and journalist, regarded as the most famous and influential representative of Romanian literature. His poetry was first published when he was 16. The poet's manuscripts, containing 46 volumes and approximately 14,000 pages, were offered by Titu Maiorescu (founder of the Cultural Association Junimea, and periodical Convorbiri Literare) to the ROMANIAN ACADEMY during the meeting that was held on 25 January 1902. His work is translated into over 60 languages Below, in the present day you will meet the complex dedicated to its memory (i.s.).
