Alliance Gertz- Ressler Richard Merkin 6-12 Complex, and Alliance College Ready Middle Academy #5, filed a request for recognition under the Educational Employment Relations Act at the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) to join United Teachers Los Angeles. ‘These majority petitions filed at three schools cover over 100 educators, { wholeheartedly support educators using their effective voices through collective bargaining to advocate for their students and to protect and advance quality public education for our communities. I respectfully request that Alliance honor the PERB recognition of these school units without delay and begin the process of collective bargaining, Alliance has developed an excellent set of schools that have thrived on the good works of an outstanding group of professional educators.
