    Defeated knight. - A poem for the brokenhearted.

    What a meaningless path to follow,


    plagued with nothing but fear and sorrow.
    Alas! Isn't it a nightmare to strive,
    with vain hope and no fire in your eyes?

    Where was I mislead by my desires


    driven to traps and then set on fire?
    Wanted to run the path to your heart,
    ended up hit with poisonous darts.

    I was your knight in shiny armour


    betrayed by a ravenous charmer.
    You just used me and then smashed my soul,
    I couldn't shield it apart from my love.

    What a meaningless path to follow.


    To be thrown, to have my chest hollowed.
    Alas! Isn't it a nightmare to trust
    and in the end get pierced by your thrust.
