Pete Maktenieks, but known to most people as “PTW” is a staple at River
Ranch Lodge. There were a number of people named Pete, all working at
River Ranch when he first started more than 17 years ago, so he became
“Pete The Waiter.” His secret to being “the best” server is treating people
how he would want to be treated while dining. His excitement for serving
continues year round and he said he is honored to win this award. You
can find PTW five days a week at the River Ranch (not on Wednesday or
Thursday), year round.
Becky worked at OB’s for 22 years before sadly closing their doors this year.
Her hobbies include horseback riding and she owns her own horse. She loves
fishing! She has been married to Chuck for eight years and enjoys all of her
old-time friends in Truckee.
