In celebration of 25/35 Jubilee year of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute, De La Salle University Medical Center
presents “Soar, the Musical”.
It is an inspirational and heart-warming story that presents the pressing issues of the modern-day family – the OFW
experience and the challenges of separation.
It depicts in a vivid manner the inner conflict of the major character, Mia, who explores her freedom to do the things
she wants to do, without concern for what is right or wrong.
She struggles to fulfill her dreams, searches for her identity and seeks for love and belongingness.
The father of Mia, Tom, like many OFW, has to surmount the challenges of being away from his family –the
temptations of the world and the loneliness that creeps in every night.
The story achieves its resolution with the major characters finding strength from the experiences of their family and
through the transforming and redeeming love of Christ.
Watch this musical play which aims to evangelize and stir the hearts of its audience through music, dialogue and
dance movements in one moving performance at the De La Salle Animo Center on June 20, 2013, 10AM and 3PM,
