Video and question 1: Is social entrepreneurship is the best way to help

people in need?

Introduction
Entrepreneurship is the process of starting business or other campaigns. The entrepreneur
develops a business model, acquires the human and other required resource, and is fully
responsible for its success or failure. Entrepreneurship operates within an entrepreneurship
ecosystem.
In the video, two entrepreneur partners introduced their new product, a new type of chewing
gum that contains both constituent of coffee and tobacco. And some sponsors listed their
presentation, to decide whether or not to invest in their business. In the end, although some of
those sponsors quitted, but most decided to invest some fund to run the caffeine chewing gum
business.

Content
For the question that whether social entrepreneurship could help people in need, our group
gave a positive answer. The benefits of social entrepreneurship to the people in need can be
divided to several ways.
First of all, for inventors who created new products, social entrepreneurship can make their
invention commercialized, and they can earn profit from their own inventions. The effect can
bring about more social-fund investment to research and invention, which can promote the
development of technology. It can also contribute to the popularization of their invention,
encourage them to create new things continuously, without worrying about capital chain
rupture.
Then, for prospective customers of this product, social entrepreneurship bring them the good
news. Now, the inventors actually can get the profit sooner with this way. For example, if the
chewing gum in the video replace the tobacco, it means that smokers may satisfy their desire
for caffeine with less health damage. Which means when the product are commercialized and
released into market by those social entrepreneur, smoker maybe can quit smoking effectively,
and helps in reducing the health issue about smoking and second-hand smoking in the society
nowadays. Not only that, the society and government also can get benefit by saving medical
expenses that was previously spent on smoking related health illness.
What’s more, the sponsors also need to ensure that their properties are still valuable in the
future when they make an investment. By introducing a product that carter the peoples' need
and became popular in the market, the social entrepreneur are able to draw their sponsorship in
order to develop a product that will benefits both the sponsors as well as to the peoples.

Conclusion
From the view of inventors, customers and suspensors, social entrepreneurship do help those
people that have different requirements.
