The English Week, organized by the English Panel, offers a number of interesting
language-based activities for all the pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan Convent 2 Bukit Nanas.
This program aims to encourage the use of English Language among pupils either in spoken
or written activities. It is hoped that at the end of the program, the pupils’ interest towards
this subject will be heightened and simultaneously their achievement will be improved.
2.0 OBJECTIVES:
1. To attract student’s interest towards Malay language and English.
2. To instill the concept of “English is fun” towards primary school students.
3. To promote the use of English among students.
4. To encourage participation of students in school-level competitions.
5. To identify new talents for school representatives.
6. To train the students to produce competent and well-trained individuals or teams.
3.0 RATIONALE
English language is one of the core subjects, it is very important for the students to
master it. Therefore, the English Panel has planned a program with interesting activities so
that the students will not be apprehensive to use the language in their daily basis. This
program will provide support for the students to boost their confidence in using the target
language not only for the purpose of examination but also to prepare them for the real world.

7.0 CLOSURE
With the support and commitment from all parties, it is hoped that the program planned
will be able to fulfil the objectives stated. Pupils who anticipate the program held are aspired
to become confident and to defeat all the insecurities they have when using the language. In
line with the school mission and vision, the program will be able to produce pupils who are
successful in all aspects of life.
