In a reverent voice she said: Leave that seeker in ignorance,

‘Thou art That,’ it has been proclaimed; Guru removes it with His light,
No one’s ever asked this boon but Thee, The Divine Mother is revealed.
But I’ll give it to everyone.

To meditate on the Guru’s form, The word ‘Guru’ is the best mantram,
Is to meditate on the ever-pure; As pure as the gold refined by fire;
To chant with devotion the Guru’s name, Tested fully in reason’s flame,
Is to chant Lord Shiva’s name. Forever protects us from death.
A speck of dust from the Master’s feet, He appears to move though He does not move;
Forms a bridge o’er the sea of change; He appears as near though He’s far away;
All our delusion can be undone; He is within and without as well;
Worship Him in everyone. He resides in the hearts of all.

Salutations to the Supreme One; Service to the Guru brings highest joy;
Full of bliss and happiness; Service to the Guru brings highest joy!
Knowledge personified, infinite, This is the word of Lord Shiva,
Eternal, pure and free. This is what Lord Shiva says!
Amongst the Scripture’s weighty words, The pure mind reflects its own image,
None is as mighty as the word ‘Guru’; Like a mirror that is straight and clean;
It’s holy power is surpassed by none; Consciousness and bliss are our own
It awakens to the highest state. True Self, Shining deep within.
One who serves his Guru faithfully, Unite with all the universe,
Though unaware of scripture’s laws, By knowing that which is its source;
He is truly a Sannyasin; Nothing else can compare to this;
Orange robes are not the sign. Everything else is unreal.

So the Guru imparts His truth; Which is unveiled through the Guru’s grace,
Through His grace we become aware, Attachments and desires fall away,
Of the nameless, formless One. In his own peace man is free.
