Problem Statement: For cement paste with w/c = 0.4, cured at 21 deg C, the heat of hydration at
different ages after mixing cement and water are given below.

1. Determine the Degree of Hydration from heat of hydration

2. Plot the evolution of the following as a function of age after mixing
a. Gel
b. Capillary porosity
c. Gel space ratio

Assume: Sp. Gr. of cement = 3.15

Note: All calculations should be performed using Excel Spreadsheet. All graphs should be plotted in
excel and attached with the submission.
