There is a lot to see here. There are many high mountains, and
glaciers – rivers of ice – like Khumbu and Lhotse which are more
than three kilometres long. Up to 4,500 metres there are green
forests, and in summer you can see pink and red rhododendron
trees.
Large numbers of visitors often mean more rubbish and more
damage to the mountain. And changes to the weather mean that
the ice on the mountains and glaciers is melting more quickly
than before.
