Chapter 3 – Electrical System Design Calculations and Analysis

Synopsis:
This chapter discusses different calculation and analysis such as
transformer sizing, the motors and cable analysis, protection devices
assessments and the like that applies specifically for the RO plant of phase
1 area. This chapter will presents substantial evaluations and application of
several standards of electrical calculation as enumerated below for the
assessment of the initial design and conduct additional analytical work that
has not performed in the early design.

3.1 Feeder Cable calculation and Over-current protection

3.2 Transformer, Generators, Fire pump size determination
3.3 Voltage Drop Calculation
3.4 Load Flow Analysis
3.5 Short-circuit Calculation
3.6 Protection Coordination and Analysis
3.7 Arc Flash Analysis
3.8 Harmonics Analysis and Mitigation
3.9 Grounding system
3.10 Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS)

Chapter 4 – Materials and Equipment Specifications

Synopsis:
In this part, all the equipment specifications, ratings and material data will
be provided in this chapter.
