The SNOWMAN network has launched its third call for research proposals.
The call is open to consortia consisting of researchers, stakeholders and other parties based
in Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), France, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Interested
parties from other countries may take part in consortia, but will not be eligible for SNOWMAN
funding. The involvement of stakeholders and socio economic scientists in the project team
is highly recommended.
The third call focuses on sustainable use of soil and soil quality.
Projects proposed to this call should focus on (at least) one of these 3 different topics:
Topic 1: Soil functions and ecosystem services
Topic 3: Contamination

well as the call‟s Applicants‟ Guide.
SNOWMAN network possesses a total budget of approx. € 2,00 Mio for this call. The
duration of the projects financed under this call can range between 12 months at the
minimum and three years at the maximum.
The call will be opened in all countries participating in the call between 15 September 2010
until 15 December 2010 at 17 hours, CET.
