CORPUS CHRISTI (CUSCO)

Currently the department of Cusco is a tourist destination and is well known for the cultural and natural
riches it offers, however, there is an ancestral religious festivity where the Catholic faith and Andean
ancestral customs arise. "Corpus christi" is a very symbolic religious festival of the city of Cusco.

GASTRONOMY:
In what is its gastronomy visitors can taste the delicious traditional food of Cusco, the most
representative dish "CHIRIUCHU" that originates from: "chiri" which means cold and "uchu" chili, that
is to say "cold chili", is a tasty stew very typical of our city of Cusco that is consumed Corpus Christi,
and the jubilee parties of Cusco, where the Cusco people, our families and tourists from all over the
world taste this exquisite flag dish of our city. The traditional chiriuchu dish is very exquisite for all
palates. the ingredients of this dish are typical of Peru.

TYPICAL DRINKS: The drinks is a final touch after enjoying the delicious chiriuchu, Chicha
abode, Chicha of quinoa, Corn chicha, Sugar cane that are typical of the region.

CRAFTS THAT WE CAN FIND IN LOS SANTOS:

We find an artisan fair where each visitor can observe or buy. In what is their clothing,
ornaments of each saint have a rich ornamentation typical of each community and a third
element, is popular fun that is an indicator of the identity of the people of Cusco.

CONCLUSION:
All the religious manifestations, music, dances, crafts, gastronomy is an attractive
characteristic of Cusco especially in this party of CORPUS CHRISTI that is why on this date
all the people who become involved must respect their cultural identity and promote it in a
positive way so that it is more visited by other people and so it is shared these experiences
lived with other people of different culture. In my personal appreciation CORPUS CHRISTI
must be a more orderly party and so we can receive more tourists than we received these
years. "
