Political Theory

First things first, I recommend a reasonable understanding of world history, such

as what one would get from bourgeois schooling in the advanced capitalist countries, to
understand and contextualize this information. There is a fair amount of overlap in the
books/articles that I included. Ideas that seem to reoccur commonly are probably very
important. Please note that these books and articles were not all written yesterday and
thus they all reflect the date that they were written. In addition, I deliberately included
different points of view and thus some authors may contradict others. Also some authors
use different definitions, so be aware of that. It’s up to the readers’ discretion to find what
truth works for them among these texts and others. The inclusion of a book should not be
construed as my endorsement for any statement inside that book. The inclusion of
discussion of a political organization should not be construed as my endorsement for that
organization. This is only for intellectual stimulation.
