To
Whom
It
May
Concern:

I
had
the
pleasure
of
being
Mina’s
cooperating
teacher
in
the
Spring
of
2011.

Mina
was
a
student

teacher
in
Columbia
Heights
for
ten
weeks.

From
the
beginning,
Mina
was
very
eager
to
learn
about
the

students
and
families
she
would
be
working
with.

She
was
excited
about
the
diversity
of
the
Columbia

Heights
school
district
and
the
unique
needs
of
the
families
we
serve.

There
are
over
40
languages

spoken
in
Columbia
Heights
and
it
is
one
of
the
lowest‐income
communities
in
the
metro
area.

Mina
had
the
opportunity
to
work
with
children
on
the
autism
spectrum,
children
with
developmental

delays,
speech
delays,
and
behavioral
concerns.

Mina
more
than
embraced
the
challenges
and

difficulties
these
families
face
on
a
daily
basis.

She
shared
in
their
disappointments
and
joys
and
offered

help
and
confirmation
when
needed.

Mina
was
always
prepared
for
her
visits
and
was
not
afraid
to
ask

for
guidance
when
planning
and
running
visits.

Mina
was
very
aware
of
culture
sensitivities
amongst

families
and
always
kept
this
in
mind
when
planning
for
visits.

Mina’s
passion
and
her
flexibility
will
make
her
an
ideal
candidate
for
any
educational
setting
rather
it

be
in
the
home
or
in
a
classroom.

If
I
can
be
of
any
further
assistance,
or
provide
you
with
additional
information,
please
do
not
hesitate

to
contact
me.

Sincerely,

Meghan
