PROCESS OWNER
§ Field Maintenance Manager
The purpose of this document is to describe the scope of work for Preventive Maintenance activities.The document
also provides guidelines for improvements to reduce down time of the Network. The whole PM Schedule is further
classified in Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annually (for BTS , CORE and transmission).

BO Engineer Provide second level support and perform weekly Health
Check ups.
The different preventive maintenance schedules for each circle has to be stored in
the process database. The auto PM Ticket will be received to responsible person
through EMAIL or SMS from MOS7100 tool which describes routine/Health check that
needs to be performed.
All backup should be stored in fireproof safe also to secure backup (all type) one data
copy for each month must be stored off site, which means location other than MSC
location. After Completing backup, the integrity of back up should be ensured.
Backup of Nodes should be taken on daily and weekly basis and after planned
change and should be stored with proper label in specified media as mentioned
below.
Nodes Backup Schedule
CDR Backup of all MSC/GMSC should be taken on regular basis and should be stored
with proper label and maintained for at least for last 3 month. Hard logbook of Backup
History should be maintained at NOC. Backup to be taken daily in night Shift
Connectivity to nodes - Checking of connectivity to all nodes through AT, daily once
in every shift to ensure 100% alarm monitoring when OSS connectivity is down.
Transaction Logs –Transaction Logs of MSC, BSC and HLR should be maintained for last
three months
For history and quality matters, Preventive Maintenance has to be logged in the form
of Database (Preferred) or in hard/soft copy against last three months and log should
include :
Respective functional heads (NOC, BO and FM) should review the results of PM where
applicable on daily basis and Weekly by O&M team leader. Below attached are the
Log book and Review format for daily, weekly and monthly Reporting has to be done
towards O&M Organisation on Monthly basis to reflect the condition of the network

Process Review should be conducted atleast once in a month by the process owner
and process members. The review should cover: Monthly reports, records, non
conformities, audit results, indicators, objectives and previous decisions.

Process Audit should be conducted every six months by independent auditors in order
