1.

- Cīṟāppurāṇam &
- Tēmpāvaṇi - Both these are epics written in the 18th century CE. I am yet
to start reading them, but am adding them here because they are epics
belonging to religions other than the traditional ones, yet excel in their
composition. They reperesent the love of their respective authors towards
the Tamil language which made them compose an entire epic according to
Tamil’s tradtions, the story of which belongs to another culture and regions!
2. Kuyilpāṭṭu or Pāñcāli capatam - these minor epics of Bāratiyār are
very mesmerizing ones. You will not need a dictionary (at least for 90% of
the words!) while reading these great creations of the poet, hence these are
a good starting point (if you actually want to go through my list here!) Two
lines, one from each, are very famous among almost all Tamiḷ:

‘kātal kātal kātal

kātal pōyiṉ kātal pōyiṉ
cātal cātal cātal’ - Kuyilpāṭṭu

‘tarumattiṉ vāḻvutaṉai cūtu kavvum

tarumam marupaṭi vellum’ - Pāñcāli capatam
