Remove all jewelry on hands and wrist (roll up sleeves, if long)

Wet hands and forearms
Dispense surgical foam or liquid on the palms

1 Scrub palm to palm

2 Right palm over left dorsum and left palm over right dorsum

3 Palm to palm with fingers interlaced

4 Back of fingers to opposing palms with fingers interlocked

5 Rotational rubbing of right thumb clasped in left palm, and vice versa

6 Rotational rubbing backwards and forward with clasped fingers of the right
hand in left palm, and vice versa

7 Rotational rubbing of right wrist with left palm, and vice versa

12 Rinse and dry thoroughly
