After DNC Hack, Cybersecurity Experts Worry That

Voting Could Be Compromised

It begins as an interview with professor Tufekci who is an expert on the

impact of the technology in the society in order to know his opinion about
the latest news that Russia tapped into the database of the Democratic
National Committee.

According to Tufekci, its really easy to hack an electronic voting machine, in

fact, when it was working at the university of Princeton a couple of students
converted one of this voting machines into a pacman game, so this
demonstrate that anybody can hack this machines .

As a result of the easy way to manipulate the voting machines, it is not a

crazy idea that the elections were influenced, a lot of states like Georgia
have an old voting system and there is no chance to check if the votes are
right.

In spite of this, Tufekci does not believe that middle countries have an
influence in this type of corruption, she thinks that is a serious problem but
the other countries know how strict is the United States with this issues,
also, she highlight the idea that Not just in electronic votes there are falses
votes, there is a high number of false votes in paper votes so she asks to be
calm and do not believe in apocalyptic scenarios.
