 Taking care of OEMs like M/s.Tata motors, M/s Ashok Leyland, M/s Eicher motors limited,
M/s Asia motors limited, M/s Mahindra & Mahindra, M/s Daimler India Ltd, Volvo, Foton &
Izusu.
 To study the RFQ & Provide feedback to customers
 Technical interaction with customers for steering system proposal submission
 Arriving specifications for steering system proposal based on the steering linkage inputs
 To finalize the steering system proposal (Hydraulic power steering gear, Pump, Reservoir,

Fasteners)
 Responsible for DVP sign off with customers for steering gear, Column, Drop arm &

 Participate in proto fitment & vehicle performance testing & Sign off.
 To provide solutions to customers for steering system related issues.
 Supporting customers during problem solving for steering related issues like Steering
Effort, Noise, Temperature, Returnability, Wheel cut angle issues Etc.
 Supporting customers from proto to production trial run.

to TRW)

 Arriving steering system specifications based on RFQ inputs.

 Responsible for concept design of Power steering gear assembly, Rigid Column assembly,
Bevel gear Drop arm, Mounting brackets based on RFQ inputs with help of design tools
QFD & Bench marking.
  Responsible for making DFMEA along with CFT for design of steering system & Parts level.

 Supporting & reviewing my team to do the tolerance stack up calculation.

 Responsible for releasing DVP for part level validation & System level testing.

 Responsible for releasing the steering gear assembly & Part level design drawings for
proto development to production stage.

 Responsible for release of Column assembly, Bevel gear assembly, Pitman arm,
Intermediate shaft, Universal joints & Mounting bracket design drawing release for proto
development to production stage.

 Involve suppliers during proto parts development.

 Capturing TGW & TGR to predict the problems in future projects.

 Component level failure analysis & Problem solving done with help of DOE & QC tools.

 Field failure analysis & Problem solving for improving the quality of product along with CFT

 Participation in VAVE activities

 Responsible for release of Engineering change process (ECN & ECR)
