SUBJECT: = EDUCATORS AND AEO In continuation of this Department's Policy letter of even number dated September 9, 2016, the Chairmen, District Recruitment Committee / District Coordination Officers are requested to furnish double copy of advertisement for recruitment of Educators under Recruitment Policy (2016-17) for School Specific Educators and AEOs for vetting from the Department prior to publishing in daily Newspaper. Specimen of advertisement, Application Forms and List of schools are at Annex-A, B, C and D. iat ‘The EDOs (Edu) have conveyed that 46374 posts of Elementary School Educators (SNE posts for provision of four teachers in 25302 standalone Primary Schools) under Recruitment Policy (2016-17) for School Specific Educators and SSE (Assistant Education Officers). All_existing 1 ies_of Pri Elementary School Teachers / SESEs and Secondary School Teachers SSEs expected by 31-03-2017 (ie. vacancies due to in-service romotion, SNE for _up- hools, transfer, retirement superannuation, n-servii h & invalidation, pre-matul retirement, compulsory retirement, removal / dismissal from service) shall be advertised for redressal of shortage of teachers in schools. 35 Number of Science-Math teachers is short in standalone Primary Schools and primary portion of higher level schools in Punjab. Due to this result of 5! grade students in PEC Examination is very poor in Science and Math subjects. For improving quality education at primary level it is decided that 80% posts of Primary Teachers shall _be advertised for ESEs (Sci-Math). 4 The Program Director, PMIU is requested to coordinate with National Testing Service for data of applications of the candidates, prepare and provide software to the districts for Recruitment of Educators and AEOs for smooth and transparent completion of recruitment process. 5. The Program Director, Directorate of Staff Development is requested to make arrangements regarding training of Educators & AEOs. Training modules may also be revised in light of new initiatives particularly ECE teacher training, 100% enrolment, 100% retention, assessment, LND, functioning of school council, school security, time table, education calendar,Non Salary Budget, child friendly schools (CSF), monitoring / mentoring / supervision of Primary Schools through AEOs and service rules / policies. Further course outlines for the NTS test for each post, Teaching Standards, MS Word, Power Point, Excel and Internet may also be included in training modules. Furthermore, vigorously written tests and open book tests of each subject of Primary, Elementary and Secondary level shall be conducted during the training. 6.
