Notes:
There are a number of considerations which relate to the timing of assessment related events at WIS. Briefly, they are:
1. We are constrained by the length of time it takes to get through a report cycle (Usually one month for start to finish)
2. We aim to contact parents three times a year, usually (though not always) once a term.
3. We aim to plan a schedule of reporting to parents which runs through the seven years, so each year group's schedule needs to be looked at in the context of surrounding years.
4. We regard reports as formative rather than summative. For this reason, we try to avoid sending reports at the end of the year. The one exception to this is the end of KS3 report at the end of year 9.
5. Terms lengths and holidays vary from year to year. Timings are adjusted to reflect this and to avoid overloaded weeks.
7. Some assessment are fixed due to external events (timing of the mocks and external exams)
