    How to change the serial number on Xplained Mini

    1 Change serial number


    Some Xplained Mini has been manufactured with an error in the serial number (one character set to 0xFF)
    This describes how to change it.

    1. Download and unzip the Change_serial_number.zip file


    2. Open a command window in the directory where stuff_serial.exe is located. (Browse to the folder right-
    click on folder with shift pressed and select “Open command window here”).
    3. Connect the AVR Xplained Mini.
    4. Run stuff_serial.exe
    5. The script will print selected tool and current serial number.
    6. Recycle power (disconnect/connect the board) for the change to take effect.
