get back from Fall Break.

Reading
The standards that we will be covering in
the first nine weeks include inferencing,
theme, summarizing, character/setting/plot,
main idea, and informational texts. Along
with these standards, we will be teaching
CAFÉ (Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency,
and Expanding Vocabulary) strategies to
help your child grow as a reader.
Math
These are skills covered over the nine
weeks: place value, value, rounding,
addition/subtraction, comparing and ordering
of numbers, area/perimeter, words
problems, and ways to express numbers.
