Ancient Egypt Project- Grade 7

Unit: Ancient Egypt

Project: Choose a topic from the ones provided or think of one on your own that will further
our understanding of Ancient Egypt’s civilization and how it affected us today. Your project
must have an essay component, a model or creative component, and a power point to go
with your presentation.

Essay:
 Must be at least 3-5 paragraphs (double spaced) –With an introduction, body
paragraphs, and a conclusion.
 Must be easy to follow, on topic, flow well, and have proper grammar.
 At LEAST two valid sources with proper citations (throughout the essay &
bibliography page- citation machine)
 Informative, What is there to know about your topic? How did your topic
affect Egypt then and how did it affect modern life now? How did it contribute
to society?

3D Model/Creative Component:
 Must be detailed (creative, evidence of effort)
 Relevant (does it make sense for your topic?)
 Must be approved by Ms Lee

Power Point Presentation:

 Must have slides and photos to aid in your presentation (prompts for you and
allows audience to follow along)
 Strong voice for audience to hear
 Clear and articulate with your findings about your topic
 How does your topic relate to the creative component?
 MUST END PRESENTATION WITH TWO QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (about
your topic) THAT COULD BE USED FOR THE UNIT TEST
