    The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council of Jagna Municipality is observing July as National Disaster Consciousness Month with the theme "Makialam. Makiisa. Sa Pagsugpo ng Panganib, may Maitutulong Ka." The council conducted several activities in observance of the month including tree growing activities, earthquake drills in schools and municipal buildings, installing fire alarms and conducting fire drills at the public market, disseminating information on disaster risk reduction laws through local radio, and forming disaster risk reduction management plans for 2012.

    2011 MDRRMC Activities in the observance of Disaster Consciousness Month:

    1. Balancing Forest Management thru Tree Growing Activities at Brgy. Pangdan and Can-upao in
    all LGU employees.

    2. Conduct of Earthquake Drill in the Municipal Bldg and schools.

    3. Installation of Fire Alarm System and Conduct of Fire Drill at Jagna Public Market.

    4. Information Dissemination Campaign on the Salient Features of RA 10121 thru the DYJP -
    Local Community Radio of Jagna.

    5. Formulation of MDRRM Plan for Calendar Year 2012.

    6. Public Consultation on Jagna Hazard Maps and Integrating DRRM in the Proposed Land Use
    and Zoning Regulations
