- Check that the status of manual control of Amsler is RETURN as shown in Fig. 2. If it were not
RETURN, adjust it to RETURN.

2. Adjustment
- Place the bearing plate (1) which can move, under the center of loading plate (2) by adjusting a mark
point of bearing plate (1) and a mark point of (3) of Amsler as seen in the red circle in Fig. 6

- When the wheels of bearing plate can rotate, press STOP button on Amsler and then, adjusting the
knob of MANUAL CONTROL from OPEN to HOLD as seen in Fig. 8. Please do this step carefully.
If you did this step carelessly, the bearing plate could be raisen up by MANUAL CONTROL and
thereafter, can touch the loading plate, resulting in Amsler is damaged.

5. Testing
- Place a specimen in the center of the load cell
- Connect two strain gauges attached on the specimen to the data logger. For the strain gauge having
two wire, please set up the brige as seen in Fig. 12. Similar to the load cell, please connect each strain
gauge and the data logger at each corresponding position of strain value recored in the computer
Adjust two values of strain using two strain gauges to be nearly the same (i.e. allow the difference of
two values of about 10. Then, press START
Delete the previous data in order to obtain the next data by carrying out the next specimen
