Istanbul, Turkey in May 2018 and the Transnational Meeting in
Slovenia in September 2018.

Our teams (both teachers and students) have done lots of work
and therefore learned a lot about the way inventions have changed

Here are the memories of our students
Hello, we are two girls, Miglė and Augustina, from Kaunas, Lithuania, J.Urbsys Catholic Basic school.
And we were the lucky ones to take part in Erasmus+ programme project “Inventions and Cultural
Behaviour“ meeting in A Pobra do Caraminal, Spain, on 23rd/27th October, 2017.
So it was our first time to fly by plane so we were a little scared but everything was great! From Santiago
de Compostela we were taken to A Pobra do Caraminal where host families were waiting for us. We went
home, because it was late.
On the first day of the visit we went to school to give the presentations that we had prepared at home and
to get acquainted with each other. After that we had lunch at home, so we not only enjoyed the meal but
also got to know each other more. In the afternoon we had a trip through Barbanza peninsula. We saw all
the city from the high mountain and for the first time I saw the Atlantic ocean. It was awesome! On the
next day we went on a tour in Bueu, Pontavedra and O‘Grove. We sailed in a boat, saw the mussels‘ farms
in the ocean and tried some seafood. The next day students gave presentations at school about traditional
food of each participating country.
Every day we had great communication with peers from all the participating countries. Furthermore, we
enjoyed our time spent with Spanish families. The trip to Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia
was amazing! We had a guided tour around the town and visited the famous Cathedral of Santiago de
Compostela. The next we had lessons at school in A Pobra do Caraminal and that was a really nice
experience. All the participants visited the local municipality where we were greeted by the mayor. When
the time for the farewell party came, we danced traditional folk dances and sang songs. It was so emotional
to say goodbye to each other and leave home to Lithuania.
This project gave us a lot of experience. Everybody drilled the speaking skills of English, we made new
friends, could observe local Spanish traditions and culture. Me and Miglė are very happy to have had such
wonderful host families in Spain. We love them! This project is amazing! Thank you so much!

From 23-27 October2017, I participated in mobility project Invetions and Cultural Behavior - Spain,
together with teachers and pupils from my school "Ioan Ban Dascalu" from Poiana Sibiului.

Within this mobility, all participating schools have presented food projects and how inventions have
contributed to the development of the food industry.

Other actions carried out within the framework of intercultural knowledge and the themes proposed by the
project were been scheduled visits to museums and microenterprises of the fishing industry and shellfish
industry - mussels industry. We also visited nearby cities such as Boiro, Pontevedra, Santiago de
Compostella where we learned about the history and life of the inhabitants of these places.

All students participating in the project from the 6 countries together with the students from the host
country have tied friends and established links for the future. The entire project was conducted in English
and was an extra reason for practicing our knowledge and learning new things.

At the end of the project I participated in a farewell party where I received the certificates of participation
in the project and where we all very happy.

Student: Neagu Ioan Sorinel

In October 2017, the project Inventions and Cultural Behavior was held in A Pobra Do Caraminal - Spain,
a project that I attended with students and teachers from my school in Poiana Sibiului - Romania. In this
mobility, project themes were in the field of nutrition and the way in which inventions have contributed
over time to the development of this industry.

We have presented the influences of pasteurization of food in the process of preserving them.

The visits proposed by the Spanish team had been very inspired and I had the opportunity to see how
shellfish is being grown,I had visiting a museum of the fishing industry and seeing how fish and mussels
are prepared and preserved.

Every day we had scheduled visits to nearby towns and places, so I visited the historic center of Santiago
de Compostella, the port of Boiro, the medieval fortress of Pontavedra and other wonderful places.

Throughout the period of mobility I was hosted by a wonderful family and where I felt great. I have tied
up strong friends with many children participating in the project.

The project was a chance to get to know places, people and new habits that I was very impressed .

In October 2017, some of my colleagues from my school, Ioan Ban Dascalul from Poiana Sibiului, Sibiu
county, Romania, and I took part in the deployment of the Erasmus Project “Inventions and cultural
Behaviour” in A Pobra do Caraminal, Spain. Here, we had the activities, I mean here we presented our
projects and also listened with interest to the projects of the students from other countries.

We all are very happy that we chose to take part to this project and come to Spain, because, this way, we had
the opportunity to review those who were in Romania and to get to know them better. The families that
hosted us were very kind, so that we felt like home. Being there for a week, we could realise a little bit how
the people live and we had the chance to learn more about their lifestyle, culture, specific food, school
schedule, music etc.

Besides the projects from school, the spanish team prepared some short trips for us to Boiro, Barona,
Pontevedra, Santiago de Compostela and other great ctities. Thus, we had the opportunity to see the most
beautiful sunset and landscapes ever. They also organized a short cruise in order to see the shells breeding.
The last day we went to the party organized by them. There, we all listened to music, danced and had a great
time toghether, time that we will never forget.

Our trip in Pobra do Caraminal
We have just finished my Erasmus Plus in Spain, exactly in Galicia, a wonderful place in the North West
of Spain. On Sunday 22 we left Italy. We were so excited to take the plane with our school friends.
This trip was not my first experience abroad but for Gabriella it was her first flight, she was so scared!
Wonderful days there! The great week started with the welcoming ceremony at Pobra do Caraminal
school, Spanish students and their families and teachers were very nice. We stayed at Raquel’s, her family
were very friendly and hospitable and it is composed of 4 people. Her father is called George, her
mother Ramona and 2 children. We were very well with them.
Interesting guided visits let us know amazing places: Barbanza peninsula, famous for its fortified towns
and megalitical monuments, the Castro de Neixon , Pontevedra and Santiago de Compostela. We enjoyed
sightseeing in Pontevedra where I admired very important landmarks such as Mosteiro de Santa mari’a de
Armenteria and in Santiago de Compostela , a very important religious site, we visited the Cathedral and
the city centre.
Galicia’s economy is based on fishing and the visit of the Massò Museum, was very interesting; we saw
how they killed whales in the past and how they processed and preserved fish.
We visited also a school where students learn food processing and its preservation. We were shown the
sterilization process, such as the vacuum air process. We had a Catamaran trip, too, it was fantastic, we ate
mussels, what fun! The weather was good with us too, funny and warm days, no rain luckily!
We come back home on Saturday 28 th, after a farewell dinner at Teraza “The Chicolino”. We danced a
typical Italian dance, called “tarantella”, everybody enjoyed. It was an amazing farewell party, every
country danced traditional dances and we ate typical food.
We have to say thank you to my Spanish friends and we hope to meet them again very soon!

Bye bye Spain!

My flight in Galicia
I have just finished my Erasmus plus in Spain, exactly in Galicia, in the north west of the country. On
Sunday 22nd October,I left Italy, I was so excited but also frightened by my first flight. It was my first time
abroad and I will not forget it!
The great week started with the welcoming ceremony held at Pobra do Caraminal school. The Spanish
students and their families, teachers were very nice. I had family accommodation and I stayed with Angela
Rey while my school friend Francesco stayed whit Pablo Garcia. I felt like at home! Interesting guided visits
let us know amazing places: Barbanza peninsula, a place we liked a lot with its remains of settlements from
the Iron Age; the Castro de Neixon, an important fortified town. We had also a sightseeing town in
Pontevedra where we were shown the inventions from the medieval times to modern age. In Santiago, we
admired a lot of churches, such as S. Francisco do Val do Dens, a Franciscan monastery, as well as
important buildings, for example the Medicine College, the hostel do Reis Catalicos with its gothic structure,
the Pazo Raxo which is the Town Hall and the Fachada do Obraidoro, in baroque style. But the highlight in
Santiago is St James’ Cathedral, famous all over the world because it is the final destination of one of the
oldest pilgrimage route in Europe; a lot of people travel there on foot, by bicycle, on horseback.
Galicia’s economy is based on fish and we ate a lot of excellent seafood, above all mussels. We visited the
Massò Museum where a guide told us about the ancient objects about fishing, displayed there and the history
of the Museum.
Another important visit was of CIPS Coroso, a vocational school where students learn about food processing
and their preservation. The Catamaran trip was amazing, well... we enjoyed a lot; on Friday we visited
Boiro, a city near the coast, we had lunch there and in the evening we had the farewell party at “Terrazza de
Chicolino”: great fun! Songs, dances and local food! Bye bye Spain! Thank you! I come back home on
Saturday 28th. See you soon !

Greetings, my dear foreign friends! I am Jairo and this is my essay about the mobility in A Pobra

I was really eager to see my guest Piotr. He was very shy and I was really nervous; I didn’t  know how this
could be, I had never hosted a foreigner before.

My mother and step-father know no English, and they only spoke in Galician to him and I had to translate
everything. At the beginning, we didn’t  talk so much, only for essential requests and things like that. But the
following days we started to talk much more, we talked about history, videogames... I discovered a really
kind boy with a golden heart.

The other people were really cool, too. We made a lot of jokes together, we had a really good time (I think
they finally thought that we were crazy as hell, we were screaming all day long). In the end, we learned lots
of things from our guests: curiosities, jokes, words and expressions.

Do you know?, I want to repeat, I want to feel that emotional storm again, I want to see all  my foreign
friends again, I want this back.

Last month our Europen friends visited us for 7 days. It was a fantastic experience for me and for them, they
were too funny and sociable.

During the first day morning, we were working on the objective of the meeting: “Inventions and Cultural
Behaviour”. In the evening, we started by visiting the most beautiful natural places in the area, from a Curota
to Castro of Baroña. The people were amazed w ith the sights, truth is, they didn’t expect us to bring them so
many interesting things to discover.

The next day was too long because we visited Pontevedra , a city full of history and curiosities around it; our
guests enjoyed the charm of its streets and its monuments. Then we went on a catamaran to know more
about sea mussel farms. After that, we visited a museum and we called it a day.

On the third day, we spent most of the day in the highschool, presenting the videos about typical food of our
countries. My favorite was the polish sausages, they were delicious. In the evening we visited Neixón, to see
the Castro and its facilities, with this, we ended this intense day.

On the 4th day we went to Santiago de Compostela, where we guided our dear guests all over the place, from
Fonseca to our beloved Cathedral, where we attended the daily mass. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the
botafumeiro- a huge thurible. We had a plentilul dinner in the restaurant at the Cidade da Cultura.

On the 5th and last day, we spent most of the morning at the highschool, but we went to the town hall where
our mayor, Xosé Lois Piñeiro, greeted our dear friends with a speech translated into English by our teachers
(Ana Bueno and Ángeles Miguens) and our classmate, Jairo, spoke for us, giving a little speech that was
very well accepted. In order to finish this great trip, we made a little farewell party at Chicolino restaurant.
We also enjoyed lots of traditional dances, performed by our guests and by us, of course.
This was a truly unforgettable experience Martín Olveira Davila(15) Spain

Hello,

Firstly, I will talk about selection period, after the selection and my thoughts and feelings.

Frankly, I was so excited when I learned the selections had started because I wanted to be chosen and I knew I'd be
sad if I got any bad news.

I was very happy when I learned I was chosen.

I was so excited when I went to do my presentation because to make a presentation was very exciting for me.

We visited a lot of places both historic and touristic. We saw their street, churches and natural beauty.

Their cuisire is very different from ours and this suprised me. Fishing in the city is very common. It is weird to me that
they dont have breakfast. We saw their school and attended in their lessons. Their education system is very different
from ours.

I met new people, saw different cultures and it was a very nice experience for me to see them up close.

My name is Alja. I'm a student from Primary school Benedikt. I was in Spain with my 2 friends Špela and
Eva and with 3 teachers from our school.
When we went to Spain it was Sunday. We travelled all day and arrived in A Pobra do Caramiñal at about
2am. We stopped by a hotel where the teachers were staying and me and my friends went to the families.
My family was very nice and I loved to stay there. We all enjoyed the time in Spain, because of the
beautiful places we were visiting and all the interesting things we saw. Mostly I liked Santiago de
Compostela and the visit through Barbanza peninsula. We also went on a Catamaran trip. We experienced a
boat and saw how they cultivate mussels. We tried them too. We also tried other food they eat there. l liked
the food. They have many fish dishes, because they live close to the sea. The week passed and it was
Saturday, the day we had to go home. We were all very sad, because it was a great week and we wanted to
stay there longer, but we had to go home.
It was a great experience for me. I really enjoyed it there so I hope that I can go to Spain again in the future.

Hi, I am Špela from Slovenia, from Primary school Benedikt.
I must say that I had a great time in Spain. At first I was
scared because I did not know how would it be. Would people
be nice? But, when I came there I realized that people are
very nice. First day was a great day for me because we really
had fun. We saw a lot of things and we had a great time.
Other days we saw a lot of things, like Santiago de
Compostela, we went for a drive with the catamaran, we saw
a lot of museums and other things. The last day, on Friday,
we were all really sad because we had to go home on
Saturday. So this day we wanted to have the best day in Spain
and it was. On Friday we had a lot of free time, so we were
hanging out and at 9.00 we had a dinner. It was great, I tried a
lot of different food there. After dinner we had a little dance
and it was a blast . On Saturday we went home, really sad
because we had to go home, but we knew that one day we
will go back to Spain again.

Here are the memories of our students
Erasmus project in Turkey: unforgettable!

My name is Carola and I come from Capua in Italy .I am 18 years old. My school ITET Federico II of
Capua offered me the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus project that brought me to know six teams,
students and teachers from six European countries that otherwise I would not have known. We left on May
13th 2018 for Istanbul and after a two-hour flight we were in Turkey. A minibus took us to Kartal, 40 km
from Istanbul, where the families of our Turkish friends were waiting for us . I was a bit worried of
meeting my host family but in a while I forgot all my doubts, my Turkish friend made me feel at ease and
welcome. I experienced Turkish traditions about food which I liked very much, enjoying myself dancing
Turkish dance and buying souvenirs to bring home a bit of Turkey with me. We made a presentation
about the invention in medicine (eyeglasses) that according to us changed people ‘s life, improving it. We
learned interesting things from the presentation of other countries about Inventions and national scientists.
We had fun in visiting the Miniaturk Museum, going on a sightseeing tour of Istanbul and Kartal but
also on the Bosphorus boat tour. We visited the interesting Time Travel Museum and the Historical
Museum of Islamic Sciences and Technology. I will remember this amazing experience in Turkey thanks
to the people met, the sights visited, the activities done and the fond memories of all .

My Erasmus experience in Turkey
My name is Noemi, I am 18 and I live in the South of Italy. I left for Turkey on the Erasmus project “
Inventions and Cultural behaviour” with my teachers and a schoolmate, from 13th to 19th of May 2018.My
Turkish friend Asude and her numerous family, two sisters, a brother and her parents, welcomed me warmly
and I soon felt at home . Living and being in touch with my Turkish friends I had the opportunity to
understand and appreciate their way of living and their traditions. I met boys and girls from six European
countries participating in the project and together we experienced and shared interesting information about
the Inventions in medicine that changed the way of living of people all over the world. We talked about the
invention of eyeglasses and about two national scientists. We made a presentation about two Italian doctors
who greatly contributed to the progress in medicine. As far as the activities we made I have to say that
Istanbul and its sights as well as its landscape surprised me for its beauty and most of all for the mosques and
modern buildings that match perfectly in the skyline . In addition to the sights , we visited museums related
to the project topic as The Time travel museum, a symbol of the skills and progress of humankind over the
centuries as well as the Historical Museum of Islamic Sciences and Technology, which was very interesting.
Thanks to Erasmus Project “ Inventions and Cultural behaviour “I have had the opportunity to live an
experience that I think I will never forget. The mobility in Turkey was very interesting for the activities
planned and the sights we were shown in Istanbul. it will be unforgettable for me for meeting students from
the countries participating in the project and the people met in Turkey. It was a way of knowing a culture
different from mine in some way, but very close as to feelings and emotions. The family I stayed with was
very kind and this made me understand how similar are people although from different countries .

My Erasmus+ Project Experience in Istanbul, Turkey

Hello! My name is Milda. I’m a 14-year-old girl from Lithuania. Two weeks ago I travelled to Turkey,
Istanbul to take part in the Erasmus+ project “Inventions and Cultural Behaviour“.
I arrived at my families house on the 14th of May, 2018. It was around 3 am in the morning. My new
family greeted me with much love and food! The accommodation was great, I got along very well with all the
family members.
We woke up early every morning, but I didn’t feel tired the first morning at all, I was too excited. On
Monday we explored the school and presented our projects to the participants in the Cultural Centre. I got to
meet some children at school and I also bonded with some participants of the project. On the first day we were
all quite shy, but all the people I met were very nice. In the evening we had a sightseeing tour around Kartal
city and we went home. It was the first time I tried Turkish ice cream. Yummy!
On Tuesday we saw a lot of places. I walked 18 thousand steps! We drove to Karaköy, where we visited
the Miniatürk museum. It’s a museum of all the famous buildings in Turkey, but very small versions of them.
Later we moved to Taksim where we walked through the famous İstiklal street. We had delicious lunch under
the Galata Bridge. After that we had a Bosphorus bout tour. I saw so many beautiful palaces and fancy
buildings around the coast of Istanbul. For the final stop we visited the two gigantic Bazaars. It was an
exhausting, but fun day.
On Wednesday I got to interact with the students more, since we went to school to present our short films.
During the coffee break me and my new friends had a mini picnic under the trees near the Cultural Centre. I
miss them so much! Later in the day we went to the Koç museum. It’s a museum dedicated to the history of
transport, industry and communications. I admired the vintage cars and watches. It was a very interesting
museum.
Thursday was one of the most memorable days, because I saw the most beautiful places in Turkey – The
Hagia Sophia and The Top Kapi palace. They took my breath away! We also visited the Blue Mosque, where
all the girls had to cover their leg and neck area. It was a new experience for all of us. Later on, we travelled
to an important historical place – the Yerebatan cistern. It was built in the 6th century, during the Byzantine
Empire times. It was used for storing water.
On the last day we visited the Kartal city mayor. His office is located at a beautiful place. You can see the
sea through the windows, just like in the movies! He was very kind to all the students and teachers. The mayor
told us more about the city of Kartal. In the evening we had a farewell party at the hotel. It was so much fun!
We took a lot of pictures and danced. During this week, all the students have developed close relationships.
Unfortunately, it was time to say goodbye. A lot of us cried.
I will never forget this week. Istanbul is so different from where I live. The tall buildings, bright lights
and never-ending motion left me hungry for more. I would love to go back and visit my Turkish family. I’m
inviting them to come to Lithuania. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and I wish that all the children of the
world could experience this. The Erasmus+ project has created an enormous community which is always
growing. I wish them to never stop!

Last week I came back from Erasmus+ schools’ exchange project visit to Istanbul. J.Urbsys Catholic Basic
school team has prepared a presentation related to contemporary natural medicine for this project meeting.
Before leaving read about Turkish culture, education and youth life just to get a view what to expect. We
found out that many of us had the 1st plane flight in life. During the time of our stay in Istanbul we met
interesting people, found out some interesting information about secondary education in Turkey and we
understood how old and rich Turkish culture is. We visited a lot of famous places like Aya Sofia and Blue
Mosque. We were invited to meet the Kartal city major. Also, we had a perfect possibility to experience
Turkish family lifestyle by living in native Turkish families. We got to know a lot of nice young people. We
found out that Turkish language is very interesting by listening and writing. Turkish food was delicious! I
have a dream to meet my friends from Istanbul again.

THE VISIT IN TURKEY

From 14 to 18 May 2018, some of my colleagues from my school, Ioan Ban Dascalul
from PoianaSibiului, Sibiu county, Romania, and I took part in the deployment of the
Erasmus Project “Inventions and cultural Behaviour” in Istanbul, Turkey. Here, at a school
from Kartal, we had the activities, I mean here we presented our projects and also listened
to the projects of the students from other countries.
This was a very nice experience that I will never forget and I am glad that I decided to
take part of this. I was very good surprised by the hospitality of the family I lived with for a
week. They were very nice and kind people so that I felt like home. Being there for a week,
we could realise a little bit how the people live in Turkey and we had the chance to learn
more about their lifestyle, culture, specific food, school schedule, music etc. One of my
favourite part, honestly, was tasting their wonderful food.
Besides the projects from school, we visited some beautiful museums from Istanbul,
like: The Museum of Miniatures, Science Museum and Museum PiriPasa, Topkapi Palace
etc., but also the two most famous Mosques in Istanbul: Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia,
which were absolutely amazing. The last day we went to the party organized by them to a
beautiful hotel, near the sea. There, we all listened to music and danced and had a great
time toghether, time that we will never forget.

On May 2018, there was a very interesting and nice Erasmus project, “Inventions and cultural Behaviour”,
which took place in Istanbul, Turkey, this time. The participants were both students and teachers from some
countries in Europe: Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey. Thus, some students from
our school, Ioan Ban Dascalul from Poiana Sibiului, Sibiu county, Romania went with our teachers to the
school from Kartal, Istanbul where we made our presentation about some inventions in medicine, but also
listened to the others projects on this theme.

This was a very nice experience that I will never forget and I am glad that I decided to take part of this. I was

We had prepared in our program, some visits to some museums and famous mosques from Istanbul, for
example: Science Museum and Museum Piri Pasa, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and others.
We also were in a short cruise on Bosfor, which was very beautiful. Our last night was spent in a hotel, by the
sea, where Turkish people invited us to party, eat, sing and dance. This kind of activities are memories for life
and we are thankful for this opportunity.

Hello!

I am Timotej Gungl, I am from team Slovenia and I was in Turkey with Erasmus project. I had a really nice
week there, people where nice and the food was very good.

So all started on the 13th May 2018. Our team first went from our school in Benedikt to the airport in Graz.
We went on a plane to Turkey and it was awesome because I had never been on a plane before. When we
landed at the airport (Ataturk) in Turkey we waited for the Italian team and then went to school where our
hosts waited for us. Then we went with them to their home. Next day we went to their school and we had
presentations about medical devices. Then we had a lecture. After all of this we went home with our hosts
and we had lunch. I ate their traditional food called »SARMA«. The next day we went to miniturkey where
we saw their important buildings, but all in their mini version. Then we had lunch and afterwards we went to
the shopping centre, after shopping we went home. On Wednesday we had presentations in the Culture
Centre about famous national scientists. After that we visited the local Major. Then we had lunch. After
lunch we visited a museum about the medicine and chemistry. On Thursday we went to the Blue mosque and
to another museum. Then we had lunch, after the lunch we went to another museum. And then we went
home. On Friday we had a project meeting, later we visited Kartal city mayor. After that we had lunch and
evaluation of the meeting. In the evening we had a farewell party and that was the best thing on this trip
except for food. On Saturday we said goodbye to our host families and we went to the airport and flew back
to Slovenia.

On this trip I met a lot of people from different countries and it was awesome. I also talked a lot in English
so I think my English has improved.

Hello!
My name is Tjaša Tomberger. I'm from Slovenian team and I was in Turkey with Erasmus project.
So me and my friends were in Turkey for one week. We lived there with our host families. First we

me. When we arrived at the airport (Ataturk) in Turkey we had to wait for another team. When the team
arrived we went to school were our hosts were waiting. When we arrived host families took care of us.
Next day we went to their school, which was very big. Then we went to their cultural centre where we
had our presentations about medical devices, after our presentations we had a lecture. When the lecture
was over we went home with our hosts. Next day we went to miniland, where we saw the important
buildings in Turkey but in smaller versions. Then we had lunch and after lunch we went to a shopping
centre. I bought a lot of clothes because I love shopping. After shopping we went home. On Wednesday
we had presentations in Culture Centre about famous national scientists, it was very interesting. After
presentations we visited a local Major. Later that day we visited a museum about the medicine and
chemistry. On Thursday we went to see two most popular mosques in Turkey. First we saw mosque

families and we went to the airport and flew back to Slovenia.
This trip was amazing, because we learned a lot about medicine and important scientists. We also know
a lot about Turkish habits and of course Turkish food is delicious.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ERASMUS +
Erasmus + is important
because it makes our world bigger,
and at the same time, smaller.

Because we are not different as we used to think.

Since the moment that you start, everything is a discovery.

You discover huge partners that now are huge friends,

the friends that you didn’t know how to say hello when you cross the door the first time
are the same one that you can’t leave now.

We discover culture, places, new things,

the most different and beautiful that we have ever seen.
Strange foreing and wonderful people;
new languages and, even languages that we thought we knew.

Amazingly, we discovered our home.

New topics: preserving, medical and tecnological industry,

in the pioneer places of these topics..

In general, this makes us better,

makes us more spontaneus,
sociable and dynamic.

For that and more, Erasmus+ is important.

I can’t imagine my school year without a sandwich for lunch or a powerpoint to make.

The trip to Turkey was, definitely the best trip I have had, both for the place as for the people

I went with. The duration of the stay was five days, from Monday to Friday.

The first day we did the presentations of the projects of each country, our presentation was about transplants.
We visited the school, and in the afternoon we went to the district of Kartal in Istambul.

On Tuesday, we went to Kadiköy, where we visited the Galata Tower, the Egyptian Bazaar and the Grand
Bazaar.

OnWednesday, we presented our videos about the different types of illnesses, we talked about the vaccine of
the smallpox, basing our work on the book “Os nenos da variola”. The best of that day was the Bosphorus
boat trip in the evening.

Thursday was, for me the best day, when we visited the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia.

And on the last day, Friday, we didn’t do anything special, we only evaluated the projects and went to Kartal
to visit the Major. In the afternoon we went home early, to dress up for the farewell party. In the party we had
so much fun, but when it finished we were so sad because on the next day we had to come back to Spain. We
said goodbye to all our new friends and went home to sleep a bit.

Next day, we got up early to arrive at the airport and take the plane back home.

Hi everyone¡

My name is Martín and I am going to tell you what  my own experience in an Erasmus + meeting was.

The place of this meeting was the marvellous, Turkish city of Istambul.

Those were six days full of emotions and sensations.

On the first day,  we visited the Kartal High School ( which was a participant in the project). We showed our
presentations, like the rest of the countries, and we also went on a tour to know a bit about the city of
Istambul.

On the second day we had to get up early because at 7 am we had to be at school for visiting one of the most
importants buildings: The Galata Tower. After that, we headed for the Egyptian Bazaar and Great Bazaar.

On the morning of our third day, we continued with the presentations and then, we met the district Mayor.
During the evening we went on a tour across the Bosphorus.

We visited a lot of buildings in the old city center, on our fourth day: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi
Palace...

The next day was so relaxing because we only went to meet Kartal’s Mayor, in the Townhall of Kartal city.
In the evening we made an evaluation of the meeting and, to finish this fantastic trip, we had a farewell
dinner and party.

Personally, this was an amazing experience, and I think for my mates too¡

I want to start by saying this was my first experience in an Erasmus project and honestly
it was the greatest week of my life. I had so much fun and meeting a lot of new people
was also so much fun to me. I saw places that I've never seen in my whole life even
though I live in this country.
Anyways, the places I've seen and the people I've met were incredibly amazing, and I
really hope to experience this kind of thing once more. I’m still so happy and thankful to
everyone who had participated to the project, they really made me live my best week. I
really want to see the people who are from the other countries again and I am so glad to
meet them!

On 13th of May, our guests from Erasmus+ Project arrived in Turkey. I still remember the feeling of
excitement when we were on our way to pick them up. It was in the middle of the night but still, I couldn’t
have been more energized.
After meeting with Rugile, my dear guest, whom I talked for a month on the internet, we went back to
home. At first, we both felt awkward but as the time passed, we felt a lot more comfortable around each
other and got along quite easily.
The next day we went to culture center for presentations and then we came to our school to show them
around. Since our school is pretty huge, they all liked it. To be honest, I kinda felt proud too.
15th of May was one of the best days in the programme in my opinion because we got see so many
beautiful places and even I hadn’t seen some of them before.
16th of May was the big day for me. I had to do my presentation about Aziz Sancar, who is one of the most
famous scientists in Turkey. I was really excited and I thought I was going to mess up but it turned out quite
good actually. Thanks to the encouragement I received from my friends and my teachers of course.
And the rest of the days were so well spent. We went to many beautiful tourist attractions like Blue Mosque,
Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern and so on… I feel like I lived the best days of my life, even if
it was for only 7 days. But what’s important is that in those 7 days not only did I have so much fun but also
made new friends. I can say that I’ll remember this for the rest of my life. I’m so glad I had the chance to be
a part of this project.

It was the best week I've ever had in my life. I had a lot of fun, I had very good memories to tell. I met great
people and made great friendships. We went to places I never went, we all trip together, we had a lot of fun.
The day they arrived was very excited for me. I hosted Carola in my home, she is a very sweet girl. She is from
Italy. We understood very well. On the first night they arrived, we met with two of our friends, we went to the
cafe and talked about everything. The next day we met with all the teams in the park near the school. We saw
each other on the first time so it was very excited for all of us. There were a few people I met and talked in
Italy before. It was the first time I travelled as a group and it was perfect. We toured, tried new things and had
fun. Most importantly, we did all this as a real group. I'm not even talking about how much fun we had in the
bus. We listened musics and we danced, we singed songs, I felt we liked each other even more. That time I
realized that it will be hard for me to say goodbye to them. We went so many places I haven't went before. We
saw historic buildings. We tried a lot of things which are new for them. We made presentations. We tried to
dance each country's own unique dances. We listened songs in different languages. We learned new things
about different cultures. We went out with Carola every night. It was really the best week of my life. I am very
happy to take part in this project. I knew I will have a lot of fun, but it was really wonderful than I expected. I
never wanted to end the farewell party. It was really difficult to say goodbye to them.
We were a lot of fun and we were very tired at the same time. But it was definitely worth it. Thank you for
these beautiful friendships. Thank you for this wonderful and unforgettable experience. Thank you for
everything!!

I think that the best summary of the project is a speech given by the
headmaster of the school in Benedikt Mr Aljoša Bradač at the welcoming
ceremony:

“Yes it really is amazing how little ideas so often turn the world upside down.
It does not always have to be the plane, the car, the computer or the light bulb.
It can be little things in life which make our lives easier – just think of shoe
lace tips, a straw in a cup, or the door closer. Yes, life is full of proof that the
human brain is amazing and capable of making up wonders. These little
wonders of our minds are powered by two unimaginable forces called
imagination and creativity. Throughout this project pupils learnt about
inventions that changed our lives, about amazing people who will never be
forgotten and about the strength and force of knowledge. But above all they
learnt about friendship, love, acceptance and diversity. As the project is
coming to its end here in Benedikt I can say that I feel a bit sad by this
ending, but I also feel happy, for I know that inventing will go on and that
maybe we will one day be able to say that this project gave birth to a new
invention.”
