GENERAL INFORMATION
Doosan Benelux S.A. (“DOOSAN”) offers to its dealers additional extended warranty coverage
according to the terms and conditions contained in the Bobcat Extended Warranty Policy
(“Extended Policy”): BOP reference number 7296773.

Doosan reserves the right to refuse any element of the warranty if it deems at its sole discretion
that the terms and conditions and warranty processes laid down in the Extended Policy have not
been adhered to.

This Extended Warranty Policy is published to assist Dealers of Bobcat-branded

products in managing the extended warranty coverage. This manual may be
revised to reflect changes in policies and procedures as they occur.

This manual supersedes all previously published Extended Warranty policies and
procedures.

This manual does not supersede any extended warranty plan previously granted
and still in force.

1. EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAMME

1.1 TYPES OF EXTENSION PROGRAM MES

Doosan offers extended warranties on certain machines through its Protection Plus or Standard
Extension Plans.

 Protection Plus Full Machine Coverage

 Standard Warranty Extension

PROTECTION PLUS FULL MACHINE COVERAGE

This full machine warranty coverage provides additional coverage for the machine from front to
tailgate, at Protection Plus conditions. Dealer rental fleet machines are not eligible for Protection
Plus full machine coverage.

STANDARD WARRANTY EXTENSION

To be able to respond to competitive market conditions and customer requirements, we are

offering the possibility to sell units with a standard warranty extension. This package provides full
machine coverage at standard warranty conditions. Also available for Dealer rental fleets.

Protection Plus for Telescopic Handlers can be purchased only if a maintenance contract* is
signed by the end-customer and a copy is provided to Doosan. The maintenance contract has to
be provided at the time of the request in the online Doosan store via an e-mail to the customer
service representative.

Doosan will, at any time, cancel the warranty extension, without providing any refund, if the
maintenance contract is not provided.

Dealer Rental is not eligible for the Telescopic Handlers Protection Plus programmes.

* A Maintenance Contract is defined as a signed service level agreement between dealer and end-
customer guaranteeing the equipment to be serviced according to the Bobcat prescribed intervals
and specifications referred to in the Bobcat Operation and Maintenance Manual.

PROTECTION PLUS APPLICATION

The Protection Plus order has to be submitted to the Doosan Customer Service Department within
30 days of delivery date. The applications for the programme are available on www.diipartner.net.

Once you have submitted an application for a certain type of coverage, you can change it to a
different plan only within 30 days of the submission of your first application.

The acceptance of the coverage is confirmed by reception of the Protection Plus plan invoice and
the display of the Protection Plus/warranty extension coverage in the warranty system.

Repairs and maintenance must be performed by an authorized Bobcat dealer. For all repairs and
maintenance, Bobcat dealers must use BOBCAT genuine spare parts and consumables
purchased from DOOSAN (Doosan Benelux S.A., DBSA).

COMPENSATION FOR PERFORMING REPAIRS UNDER THE
PROTECTION PLUS PROGRAMME

Payment by DOOSAN for warranty repairs performed under the Protection Plus Plan by an
authorized dealer will be made through the processing of a Warranty Claim. This claim must be
submitted within 30 days from the date of repair. Any claim submitted after 30 days from the date
of the repair will be considered late and will be refused.

Any claim that has been processed may be appealed within 45 days from the date of the
settlement. The appeal on refused claims must be made online, and can only be made once.
When a claim has been rejected twice, it cannot be appealed again.

Any request for further information must be answered within 20 days.

Parts Compensation
Parts payment will be on the basis of current retail price minus 10%.

Labour Compensation
Dealer credit for labour will be at the dealer shop rate for the labour, multiplied by the Bobcat
approved hours as specified in the “Suggested Service Times” Manual.

Travel Time Compensation

Travel time compensation for warranty work will be limited to a maximum of 500 km (or 300 miles)
per claim, multiplied by the dealer’s shop rate. The distance must appear on the claim, otherwise it
will be considered incomplete and the claim will be returned. The location of the repair has to be
indicated by reporting the name of the city where the repair was done. Repeated journeys caused
by a lack of initial troubleshooting by phone and/or repair preparation will not be covered under
warranty.

For the Telescopic Handlers, a Maintenance proof or a Maintenance report must be provided
when submitting a warranty claim during the extended period of the coverage of the equipment.
Doosan reserves the right not to approve a warranty claim if such documents are not provided
upon request by the Warranty department.

WHAT IS COVERED
The Standard Warranty Extension provides full machine coverage at standard warranty
conditions (for more details, refer to the Bobcat Standard Warranty Policy ref: 6720983).

applied by BPS on an Emergency order for repair of machines under warranty is calculated into
the parts total reimbursement.

Labour compensation
Dealer credit for warranty labour will be on the percentage of the normal dealer shop rate for the
labour, multiplied by the Bobcat approved hours as specified in the “Suggested Service Times”
Manual. The percentage of the shop rate allowed is based on the Dealer Aftermarket Review
(DAR).

Travel time compensation

Travel time compensation for warranty work will be limited to a maximum of 500 km (or 300 miles)
per claim, multiplied by the dealer’s adjusted rate (percentage of the shop rate based on the DAR).
The distance must appear on the claim, otherwise it will be considered incomplete and the claim
will be returned. The location of the repair has to be indicated by reporting the name of the city
where the repair was done. Repeated journeys caused by a lack of initial troubleshooting by phone
and/or repair preparation will not be covered under warranty.

Travel compensation for dealer rental machines will be limited to 300 km (or 200 miles).

WARRANTY TRANSFER OF STANDARD EXTENSION

PROGRAMMES

Note that standard warranty extensions cannot be transferred to another customer except for the
Telescopic Handlers.

2. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

The Dealer has a RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL of 30 calendar days, starting from the day of the
purchase of the extended package; this gives the opportunity to return the item without any
obligations. If a Dealer would like to make use of the right of withdrawal, it must request this to the
Doosan Customer Service Department via e-mail within the fixed timescale of 30 calendar days
from the invoice date of the extended warranty plan. In such an event, Doosan will reimburse the
full amount paid by the dealer.

For any cancellation requested after this period, the dealer is not entitled to request any
partial or full reimbursement of the price of the extended warranty.
