In the article, “Should Animals Be Used for Scientific or Commercial Testing”?

The author
deals with the issue of whether animal testing should be used for scientific or commercial purposes.
The author argues that animal testing should be used for scientific or commercial testing although
animal testing can seem cruel and unethical. Other than that, the author claim that animal testing
has been around for a long time and that it has been proven to save many lives. However, the issue
arises when the practice was labelled as “inhuman” although it has been proven to save many
people lives and produce positive results due to animals being mistreated while under
experimentation.
To support her argument, she presented several supporting details in her article. The first
one is statistic. In paragraph two she stated that a poll was conducted by a science magazine,
“Nature”. The poll shows that 90% of the 1000 biomedical students involve in the poll agreed that
the use of animals in research is essential. She also stated that the cases of polio disease also
decrease from 350,000 in 1988 to 233 cases in 2012. Next, is the usage of expert testimony. For
example, the California Biomedical Research Association states that animal testing has cause
medical breakthroughs in the last one hundred years. Other than that, the author also uses law and
rules to support her argument. In paragraph four the author claims that the federal Animal Welfare
Act has been regulating animal research to maintain the treatment of animals use in testing.
In this article the author fulfills the aspect of relevance, objectivity, completeness,
credibility and validity. Her argument is relevant because her supporting details is related to the
main idea of her article. This is shown in paragraph 8, the argument made is that animals and
humans are treated differently since animals are lack of moral judgment and cognitive skills. Most
of the support consists fact and clear evidence such as data from the federal Animal Welfare Act
prove that the author's argument has objectivity. The author presents her counter-argument proving
that her argument is complete by stating research findings that animal testing is inhumane. This
can be shown in paragraph 3, The Humane Society International has done research on animal
testing conditions and states that the animals are treated inhumanely. The author argument is valid
and credible since her argument is very well reason and convincing.
The author explain the issue and to investigate about should animal be used for scientific or
commercial Author use deductive style of writing in pagraph 3. He write with the general topic
in pagraph 3 ,which is people argue that animal testing is inhumance . To support the general
topic on pagraph 3 , the author state of evidence with The Human Society International has do
research on animal testing condition for a long period of time, don’t get enough food or water ,
and often have or wounds. For conclusion the author make a strong evidance also with report
after result investigation of Human sociaty and from other sources
The reason The author perpose writing is to inform the reader on what happen, how impact
animal used scientific or for testing, madical and commecial researchTo support the author
perpose ,Jasmin has writing benifit for animal testing. Animal testing plays a big role in finding
new information about diseases and understanding the development of germs that cause a certain
disease. The estimated 26 million animals that are tested each year are usually tested to
determine the side-effects of a certain medication, the toxicity of medications, safety hazards of
products that are used by humans, and other medical uses.
The most striking element of Jasmin’s essay is use of a “matter-of-fact” tone to describe an
author straightforward and does not filling emotion about the issues . In the paragraph 2 the
author straightforward to inform the reader about research what it do it for animal testing
