One of the songs that are commonly played by other artists in this day and age is “Can’t

Help Falling in Love” which is written by Elvis. In order to see how he performed his

different pieces and how the renditions differ we needed to see a live video of him singing

this song. It is not as slow as it is sung now and it is quite different from the rest of his

songs. It appeals to more of the pathos of people and shows the definition of love to other

people and more importantly, it shows how to love. Personally, enjoying this piece was no

big deal as it is easy to listen to and it’s no wonder that this song still receives lots of

attention, to this day.

meaningful. He does not only do this for the benefit of himself however to other people. This

clip shows him with his iconic smirk and a leather outfit. We believe that this was a very

iconic Elvis look and this is what makes him very recognisable. His fanbase was also

intrigued by the smirks that would serenade girls easily.

Ladis channel, October 23, 2012. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb0Jmy-JYbA

This is a video of him singing one of his songs in Las Vegas, the song is ‘Suspicious

Minds’. Elvis always brings his sort of energy to the stage that was quite soothing and

created an excited yet calm atmosphere. He portrayed this through his body language with

a slouched back and always being very relaxed while performing. The costumes he uses

are quite similar however they are all uniquely different. It is quite interesting and exciting to

see the difference between his costumes from one performance to another.

not only the song, however, his attitude through the way he dances and his fashion. He is

quite an edgy person, dressed with a leather jacket however really known how to pair his

dance moves to the song. There is also a sign of modernism included in his video because

if this was put out now, it may still become a great hit. Furthermore, the song is written

really well and it shows the style in which he liked to portray his feelings into. It is jazzy and

upbeat where it is also easy to dance to.

Priscilla Presley was the first wife to Elvis Presley however they later divorced. The reason

why is stated in this article. It is reported that Priscilla lost herself and her identity while

being married to him. Living his life meant losing hers and the world pressures on their

relationship were too much for her to handle. She met Elvis at such a young age (14) as he

was serving in the U.S Army for her father in West Germany. This is how they were

introduced to each other. Little did she know, that they would be married for 6 years

starting on May 1, 1967. Elvis formed an inner circle in Graceland and Priscilla never felt as

she was apart of him as they were never eating out because Elvis wanted to escape the

paparazzi. They always left some mystery in their relationship, this was that Priscilla would

never show herself without makeup or without clothes on. She made an effort to keep their

marriage as personal as she could but in the effort of doing this, their marriage was ruined.

Elvis’s life was full of ups and downs, from the day he was born to the day of his death.

When he was born, he was born into a modest and humble family. They did not have much

and his parents made sure to provide Elvis with the primary necessities he needed. His

mother, Gladys Presley, delivered one stillborn child and fell very ill, to the point where she

had to go to the hospital. Due to this, she was unable to deliver any more children. His

mother suffered a lot by his father, Vernon, being sentenced to three years in prison for the

crime of forgery. Gladys could not support her son, therefore, she was forced to move in

with her relatives. This was the first move out of a lot. As well as guitar, Elvis learned to play

the piano whilst in church. As we can see, the church had a huge influence on the

beginnings of his music career as without them he wouldn’t be introduced to musical

instruments and how to utilise them within songs.

he only had 5 concerts abroad from the US. The concerts that were not in the US were

actually in Canada when he was there for a 3-day tour in 1957. It is a quite common fact

that Elvis was a firm believer in so it is no surprise that he actively wore a cross, the Star of

David and a Hebrew Chai around his neck. Presumably, he wore this for good luck and to

prevent evil from getting to them as this is the main stigma of wearing these symbols. As a

tribute from the late Freddie Mercury, Freddie actually wrote a song called, “Crazy Little
