Objectives To be able to identify the correct pronouns and the use of singular and
plural nouns when matching with verbs. Also, to be able to take a root
word and change it into different forms without a pronoun to help
determine.

Activity Group power point at the carpet then transition to their seats with
instructions to get out their white boards and dry erase markers. I give
them a random verb, and everyone takes a minute to write a sentence
using the verb with a pronoun that can be associated with the word.
EX. felt She felt excited for school to start.

Assignment Let’s Learn Language worksheet

Evaluation Evaluate how quickly students can create a pronoun and a verb that are
in agreement with a given portion of the agreement.
Evaluate if students can pick out the correct verbs and pronouns from the
given examples. There is one right and one wrong answer. Can they circle
the correct answer to complete the pronoun-verb agreement? With a
given verb, can they write all the different forms of the verb using a word
web.
Ex: Look, looks, looked
